LARRY HAGMAN – Private Place

It’s hard to picture Dallas’ mean old J.R Ewing frolicking in his Santa Fe home with his grandchildren, but that’s exactly what you’ll see in this episode of “Famous Homes and Hideaways.” Hidden behind Larry Hagman’s custom-designed iron gates is an adobe style home with 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. His wife, Mai, designed the furniture in his favorite room aptly named “the big room.” Big comfy chairs fill this room, which makes it difficult to ever want to leave. The kitchen is designed to be both beautiful and functional. It’s no wonder the Hagmans enjoy this private little hideaway so much.

This ultra modern home is a spectacular creation by famed designer Charles Young. Everything about this home is unique, from the $250,000 walls constructed with galice to the custom-made windows specially designed in Maine. BEL-AIR HOTEL – Postcard from Paradise

This hotel is truly “heaven on earth.” No two suites are alike. The Swan Lake Suite is a two-room suite with a fireplace in the living room. The terrace overlooks the peaceful garden complete with a tiny lake with swans. The Grace Kelly Suite has a Mediterranean inspiration. The richness of the reproduction antique furniture complements the fountain and jacuzzi, which creates a well-rounded feeling of comfort and tranquility.

STEVEN TISCH – Hot Property

Steven Tisch is an Academy Award winning producer for 1994’s best picture Forrest Gump. The famous bench from the film is one of his prized possessions, and it adorns his garden. The architecture is the highlight of this home, which is inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright with a Japanese influence. The arts and crafts furniture makes this home a true a sight to see. With each photo comes an uncanny impression by Mr. Little. It’s obvious he has a special place in his heart for each one of these icons. The impressive entertainment center is truly a highlight not to be missed. All the better to help him add to the over 200 voices he has already mastered. His current passion is his one-man show entitled “The President” which he is currently preparing, for a Broadway debut.

This two-story French style house is a first class example of grandeur and magnificence redefined. World-renowned interior designer Barbara Lockhart has created a living room by using 40-ft. beams from a 100-year-old bridge from Northern California. ELVIS’ HONEYMOON HIDEAWAY – Hot Property

There is an interesting story behind this Palm Springs hideaway. Elvis Presley and his bride Priscilla were supposed to be married on this estate, which he rented for one year. Before they had a chance, the gossip columnists found out and they had to hightail it to Viva Las Vegas to do the honors. They did have their honeymoon at this home on May 1st, 1967 and little Lisa Marie was born exactly 9 months later. The house has three levels, all designed in four perfect circles. His hit film Notting Hill was also shot in one of the hotel’s opulent salons. Elisha Cuthbert – Ethan Allen Makeover

Canadian born Elisha Cuthbert started her acting career on TV shows like Are You Afraid Of The Dark? and Popular Mechanics For Kids. Elisha earned a Gemini, the Canadian version of the Emmy, for her role in the movie of the week Lucky Girl. She burst onto the American scene in the series 24 playing Kiefer Sutherland’s rebellious daughter. Robert Culp rose to fame as a globetrotting undercover agent opposite Bill Cosby on the TV series I Spy. The pair’s on-screen chemistry helped make the show a classic and ensured Robert’s place in television history. Robert also wrote some of the show’s scripts and he wrote and directed episodes of another hit show he starred in: Greatest American Hero. His silver screen credits include Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice, The Pelican Brief and PT 109. We bring you an up close look at Robert Culp from his wonderful California home.

$14M Lady Secret Drive – Living Large

Built on seven and a half acres in exclusive Rancho Santa Fe, this Mediterranean-style villa is like none other. The villa was designed to showcase the owner’s vast collection of original art. Natural light streams in from all directions making it the ideal space to hang your private collection of Rembrandts and Renoirs. There are fifteen thousand square feet of luxury under this roof. It’s all yours for just under 15 million dollars.

Coe Hall – Great Estate

Like a majestic manor in the English countryside, Coe Hall may look like it’s been here for centuries. But this Golden Age estate is barely a hundred years old. It houses one of the finest collections of stained glass in the country. Several pieces can be traced as far back as the 13th century. The gardens were created as an extension of the home’s interior. As only the best would do, the Coes hired the Olmsted brothers famous for designing New York’s Central Park.

Hotelito Desconocido – Celebrity Hideaway

Located 60 miles south of Puerto Vallarta on Mexico’s sun-drenched Pacific coast, this is a hideaway with a unique twist. Its name means little unknown hotel in Spanish but it is very well known to Hollywood’s heavy hitters. Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, Val Kilmer, Brooke Shields, and Brendan Fraser have all spent time here. The twist? There’s no electricity. Cathy has also starred in Soapdish, Copland, and the upcoming Analyze That. We met up with Cathy at her lovely home in the Hamptons.

Tony Shalhoub first caught audiences’ attention as an eccentric cab driver in the hit series Wings. Davy continues to act in stage productions and he’s a passionate horseman. We visited Davy Jones at his lovely Pennsylvania home.

Hal Linden – Private Place

While growing up in the Bronx, Hal Linden dreamed of having his name up in lights. With talent and determination to spare, Hal landed his first Broadway role in 1957. He went on to perform in eighteen shows over sixteen consecutive years, and was honored with a coveted Tony Award. When Hal’s talent sparked the interest of a major producer, he was cast as the lead character in the TV sitcom Barney Miller. The rest, as they say, is history. Three-time Emmy Award winner Hal Linden welcomes us to his L.A. home.

In 1984, real estate developer Gary Melius purchased Oheka Castle. He then spent 6 years and 14 million dollars restoring it.

Mae Whitman was only three years old when she landed her first role in a feature film, When a Man Loves a Woman, where she played opposite Meg Ryan and Andy Garcia. She later starred with George Clooney in One Fine Day and played Sandra Bullock’s daughter in Hope Floats. Mae also starred as Grace McKee in the ABC series State of Grace. Off the set, the ninth grader lives with her family in Los Angeles. Mae’s bedroom needed a new look so we sent our design experts to her home for a fabulous makeover.

Barbara Feldon– Private Place

Barbara Feldon was modeling and doing TV commercials when she was cast as Agent 99 in the sitcom Get Smart in 1965. Brilliantly spoofing that decade’s James Bond mania, Get Smart went on to win several Emmys and became a true TV classic. Since then she has guest-starred on the hit shows Cheers and Mad About You, she performed a one-woman off-Broadway show, and she continues to do television commercials and voice over work. We met up with Barbara Feldon at her lovely New York home.

Palms Casino – Postcard From Paradise

The Palms Casino Resort is the latest addition to Sin City. Located just off the famous strip, the resort offers restaurants, bars, and a 95,000 square foot casino. The Palms has appeared on the hit show CSI and has attracted plenty of stars. Sharon Stone, Janet Jackson, and Dustin Hoffman have all been guests. Ashford Castle – Celebrity Hideaway

Ashford Castle in the beautiful Irish countryside dates back to the 13th Century and was transformed into a luxury hotel in 1939. Film director John Ford and actor John Wayne made the castle and the surrounding area famous when they shot the movie The Quiet Man there in 1952. The castle boasts 83 luxurious guest rooms including a 1000 Euro a night Presidential Suite. Fittingly, President Reagan and his wife Nancy spent some time in this commanding suite in the 1980’s.

Lisa Guerrero – Sneak Peek

Lisa Guerrero does double duty as a sports reporter and actress. She has appeared in over 200 commercials and dozens of TV shows including Frasier, and Sunset Beach. Her big screen credits include Batman Returns and Fire Down Below. As a sports reporter for Fox television and as host of The Best Damn Sports Show Period, Lisa has taken the sports broadcasting world by storm. We visited Lisa at her charming home in the Hollywood Hills.

Grace Slick – Private Place

There’s no mistaking Grace Slick’s powerful and unique voice. As the lead singer of the band Jefferson Airplane she belted out classics like White Rabbit and Somebody To Love. Both songs were top ten hits in 1967 and they helped define the psychedelic era. In the 1970’s, Jefferson Airplane mutated into Jefferson Starship and with Grace once again on vocals, the band went on to top the charts with the hits We Built This City and Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us now. As one of the first women rockers, Grace kicked open the door for future generations. We caught up rock icon Grace Slick at her L.A. home.

Drew Barrymore and Tom Green honeymooned here and other celebrity guests have included Hillary Clinton, Gabriel Byrne, and Kathy Bates. For a truly unique dining experience, the Pullman Restaurant is not to be missed. The historic Pullman train carriage, which once transported celebrities like Laurence Olivier to London’s West End theatre district, was converted into a one-of-a-kind dining room. These are the same train cars used in the classic film Murder On The Orient Express.

Amy Carlson – Ethan Allen makeover

Before she was cast as firefighter Alex Taylor on the hit show Third Watch, Amy Carlson guest starred on N.Y.P.D. Blue, C.S.I., and Law and Order: S.V.U. She also earned a daytime Emmy nomination for her work on Another World. Amy wanted to give her New York bedroom a whole new look so we set her up with our design experts for a stellar makeover.

The Dorchester – Celebrity Hideaway

Located just steps from London’s famous Hyde Park, The Dorchester has been a landmark since it first opened its doors in 1931. The hotel is owned by the Sultan of Brunei, one of the richest men in the world. It’s an incredibly opulent home away from home that’s comfortable, stylish, and boasts an impeccable level of service. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton honeymooned here. The hotel’s star-studded guest list runs the gamut from Old Hollywood celebrities like Gloria Swanson, Marlene Dietrich, and James Mason to today’s silver screen icons like Tom Cruise, Meg Ryan, Nicole Kidman, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Tommy Chong – Private Place

Tommy Chong started his career as a professional musician. While he was on the road, he discovered improvisational comedy troupes like Second City and he decided to switch gears. The native Canadian started performing at his brother’s nightclub in Vancouver where he honed his comedic skills and met another young comedian called Cheech Marin. A couple of years later the comedy duo Cheech and Chong was born. Best selling comedy albums and a Grammy Award followed. Hollywood eventually came calling and the duo starred in such movies as Up In Smoke and Nice Dreams. We met Tommy Chong at his Southern California home.

Villa Vera (Acapulco, Mexico) – Celebrity Hideaway

Villa Vera Acapulco has been a jet set destination for years. Elizabeth Taylor married Mike Todd on the terrace of her favorite villa, Richard and Pat Nixon celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary here, and the Elvis Presley movie “Fun in Acapulco” was shot at the resort. Lana Turner liked the place so much she lived here for 3 years. Choose from one of the 69 rooms or villas perched in the hills overlooking Acapulco Bay and you’ll feel like a star, too. It’s an irresistible getaway that continues to seduce and enchant guests.

The Merrion (Dublin, Ireland) – Postcard From Paradise

The Merrion Hotel in the heart of Dublin was created from 4 magnificent 18th Century townhouses. It took a multi-million dollar renovation project to restore the historic homes to their original splendor. Using the same techniques that were in practice 200 years ago, the beautiful plasterwork took 6 months to restore. Made from lime and crushed marble, the plaster was molded and carved into intricate designs. The hotel also boasts an impressive collection of Irish art.

$9M Remington Condo – Hot Property

The Remington is the most expensive condominium complex ever built in L. A. It offers luxury high-rise living in its 93 units, which have been dubbed vertical estates. The designer residence features richly detailed interiors and amenities worthy of a five star hotel. The very first person to move into The Remington held a fabulous party with guests like Bill Clinton, Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen, and Kathy Ireland. It was a fitting debut for this glittering showpiece.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler– Sneak Peek

Jamie-Lynn Sigler is a native New Yorker who has been acting since the age of 7. When she landed the role of Meadow Soprano on the highly acclaimed TV series The Sopranos, she gained national attention and she has been earning rave reviews for her work. Jamie-Lynn has also recorded an album titled Here To Heaven and she has written an autobiography called Wise Girl. On hiatus from The Sopranos, she starred as Beauty in the Broadway production of Beauty And The Beast. We caught up with Jamie-Lynn Sigler at her New York home.

Kelly Rowland– Private Place

As a founding member of the Grammy- winning group Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland is part of one of the best-selling female musical groups of all time. From the age of 4 Kelly knew she wanted to be a singer and she started singing in church when she was barely tall enough to reach the microphone. Since then she has performed on stages around the world and she recently released her first solo album Simply Deep. Kelly has also branched out into acting with an appearance on TV’s The Hughleys and a role in the upcoming horror film Freddy vs. Jason. We caught up with the gifted performer at her lovely Texas home.

After guest starring in several hit TV series like Frasier, and That 70’s Show, Erika mesmerized audiences as Michael Douglas’ drug addicted daughter in the Oscar winning film Traffic. She has also starred in the movies Swimfan and The Banger Sisters. Erika’s family home needed a living room makeover so we sent in our design experts.
