CAST BIOGRAPHIES

ELISHA CUTHBERT

ELISHA was born in Calgary, Alberta, modeled in Vancouver, British Columbia and now has the coolest job on the planet.

Loving every minute of show biz, ELISHA has appeared in such films as "Who Gets the House", "Dancing on the Moon" and "Nico the Unicorn". This year, she flew to France to guest star in an episode of the TV series 'Largo Winch', starred in Showtime's "Time at the Top" with Timothy Busfield, 'Airspeed' with Joe Montegna and appeared with Randy Quaid in Disney's "Mail to the Chief." As if she's not busy enough with PMK and the movies, ELISHA is also one of the campfire kids on the TV show, "Are you Afraid of the Dark?" (Nickelodeon/Family Channel).

In addition to working in front of the camera, ELISHA also enjoys being on the other side and is discovering the art of photography. She's also perfecting her snowboarding technique and still loves a good game of basketball. She's looking forward to another year with PMK because she says the perks are the best... she loves the adventure and she loves to meet new people!

JAY BARUCHEL

Jay became fascinated with film when his dad bought him his first videotape. His collection now exceeds 200. Jay's first experience in front of the camera was in a student film entitled "Jori." He loved it, found an agent and never looked back.

Jay's had several featured roles in regional stage productions including "A Midsummer Night's Dream;" but his break came when he was cast in the role of Thomas Thompson in the series "My Hometown." Some 26 episodes later, he was a seasoned young veteran.

Jay has appeared in commercials for Pilsbury, done voice work on the documentary "My Parents are Divorced" and is the voice of Nanook on the animated series, "Nanook." In his spare time, he enjoys writing stories and screenplays. He's set his sights on a film degree, perhaps at NYU and eventually hopes to write and direct his own films.

TYLER KYTE

TYLER is a real entertainment dynamo! The acting bug bit early for PMK's co-host when, at five years old, he watched "Home Alone" and decided he could do that. A few years later, he proved he sure could do that and a whole lot more with roles in the musicals "Tommy" and "Joseph" and many TV shows including "Due South" (CTV/CBS) and "Goosebumps", ( FOX/YTV).

When TYLER isn't on stage, in front of the camera or doing off-camera voice-overs, he prefers spending time with his dog, two cats and serious collection of music from the '70's. He's also been called a pretty good hockey and basketball player and an avid snowboarder and skateboarder. TYLER says he's thrilled and delighted to return to PMK and is looking forward to a brand new season with all kinds of wild and crazy adventures.

VANESSA LENGIES

Standing just 4'8" tall, VANESSA packs a lot of talent in her small frame with a starring role as one of the Midnight Society Kids on "Are you Afraid of the Dark?" (Nickelodeon/Family Channel) and playing Sara Lee in the television series "Radioactive"(FOX/YTV). Vanessa made her feature film debut playing "Marci", a typical teenager in the comedy RATZ starring Cathy Baker and airing on Showtime in July. Relatively new to show business, VANESSA made her debut as a guest lead on "Lassie" (Animal Planet / YTV) and her voice is familiar from such animated shows as "Little Lulu" (HBO/CTV),"Arthur", (PBS/CBC) and "For Better or Worse", (Teletoon).

Although she used to have ducks in her backyard, she says she now is real proud of her budgie bird named Duffus who she has to hand-feed! VANESSA is a good soccer player and swimmer but also likes rollerblading and says she's determined to learn snowboarding this year. If she plays her cards right, she may be able to convince TYLER and ELISHA to give her a lesson or two! "I was a mega fan of the show before I even worked on it", she says "getting the job was a dream come true!"

CHARLIE POWELL

CHARLIE is the elder of our team bringing tons of energy and expertise to the job of resident "fix-it-shop" owner. Texas born and bred, CHARLIE has been in all kinds of movies including the Oscar nominated film "Affliction", the western drama "Cheyenne Warrior", the high-tech horror flick "Brainscan" and the nail-biting thriller "Screamers". He's also no stranger to television audiences. In addition to PMK, he's acted on the soap, "General Hospital" and the mini-series "Million Dollar Babies", "The Lost Daughter", and most recently "The Patty Duke Show Reunion." But Charlie isn't all show business, he holds a BA in Science from the University of Austin in Texas and as he tells it, plays a mean blues harmonica!
